Therapeutic Riding of Texas
"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man."
~ Sir Winston Churchill

Therapeutic Riding of Texas was originally created to provide a program of therapeutic horsemanship to children aged 5 to 12 with various mental and physical disabilities. Over the years, the program has expanded to include both children and adults with mental, physical, emotional and learning challenges. TROT has grown to serving hundreds of riders over the years. The organization has served between 20 and 30 riders per year, utilizing 10 schooling horses, three instructors and numerous volunteers. All classes are held under the supervision of certified instructors. As a PATH operating center TROT complies with industry standards to provide safe, quality programming. At this time TROT is the only accredited therapeutic riding program operating in Ellis County
